This supplementary material contains a section on step by step directions for creating a 12-Tone Row.  The packet also has directions for developing the forty-eight (48) possible rows used in writing 12-Tone compositions.  It gives examples so that students and teachers can see how the rows are created and contains reproducible materials for students which have the steps  for selecting their own rows and beginning to write their own compositions.

The following excerpt is from a piece composed by Lee McKay's student, Nicholas Venter, using our materials.  This composition was a First Place Winner in the TMTA Original Composition Contest, Division S6-7, for 2006.   It was also the TMTA/MTNA State winner and the South Central Division Winner, 2007, placing it in the MTNA National Finals.
